Tour Plan
Your guide will pick you up from the port and you will go directly to the old city of Istanbul. Our tour will start at the Roman Hippodrome where you can see monuments such as the Egyptian Obelisk, the Serpent’s Column and the German Fountain. Our next visit is the famous Blue Mosque called Sultanahmet in Turkish (tourists call it the Blue Mosque for its thousands of beautiful blue tiles). The mosque was built in the 17th century by Sultan Ahmet I and is the first mosque with 6 minarets (towers) in the history of the Ottoman Empire. The tour continues with the visit of Hagia Sophia where you can see the mixture of 2 religions that was for more than 900 years the Orthodox Cathedral and for almost 500 years the Mosque. Our last stop on the half day tour is the famous Grand Bazaar, we walk about 15 minutes to get there. It is one of the largest and oldest bazaars in the world with more than 4000 shops, where you can see many types of Turkish handicrafts. Transfer to the port.

Lunch in a restaurant to eat typical Turkish food. In the afternoon, we have a very important visit to the Topkapi Palace, which for centuries was the second largest palace in the world. After the conquest of the city by the Ottomans in 1453, it was the main palace until the end of the 19th century. The next stop of the day is a wonderful 1,500-year-old underground treasure, the Basílica Cistern. Commissioned by Emperor Justinian and built in 532, the cistern is the largest preserved in Istanbul; It was built with 336 columns, many of which were rescued from ruined temples. Our last stop of the day is the famous Grand Bazaar, we walk about 15 minutes to get there.
